The museum is open on weekdays; Sunday through Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where is Al Salam Palace Museum located?

Al Salam Palace Museum is located in Kuwait City facing Shuwaikh Beach, nestled between Soor Street and Jamal Abdul-Nasser Street. Visitors can enter through gate 1 for the museum’s parking. Same entrance as JACC. Get directions via Google Maps here.

How can I book my visit to Al Salam Palace Museum?

Tickets to Al Salam Palace Museum can only be purchased online via our website: www.aspm.com.kw . Once you choose your desired time slot based on available tours on the day, you will be redirected to the payment portal where you will be able to insert your card details to complete your ticket purchase procedure. You will then receive an e-mail confirmation which contains a QR code of your e-ticket. Please bring the e-ticket along with you to gain entry on the day. You can either print the ticket or display the e-tickets or QR code on your mobile device to the security personnel. For the best experience, please arrive promptly at the entry time printed on your ticket and not later.

Can I book my ticket by phone?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to book tickets by telephone. You can book tickets easily and quickly on our website.

What are the accepted methods of payment?

Payments can be made via KNET, and credit card (MasterCard, Visa)

Can I book a ticket on arrival to Al Salam Palace Museum

Tickets to Al Salam Palace Museum’s tour are limited and therefore can only be purchased online via our website. There is no ticket desk available at Al Salam Palace Museum.

Are there special prices for children?

The Al Salam Palace Museum ticket prices are unified for visitors 12 years or older. However, 30% discount for students with valid ID and Visitors with special needs. No admittance without ID

How far in advance of visiting do I need to book a ticket?

Advanced bookings are highly recommended as our museum is very popular with 300 years of Kuwaiti history and thus advance availability can sell-out. You can book your ticket online up to 24 hours before your visit

Am I able to exchange or refund my tickets?

We regret to inform you that tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. However, in case of emergency, please contact our guest relations call center on XXXXXXX or visit our front desk team and they will be more than happy to assist you to ensure you receive the most memorable experience.

Is there a specific dress code required to enter Al Salam Palace Museum?

Al Salam Palace Museum provides a unique experience for visitors to discover Kuwait’s cultural heritage, diverse history, and modern developments through the eyes of the fifteen rulers of Kuwait. To pay homage to the heritage and royal family, visitors are advised to wear smart attire with comfortable shoes. Casual attire and footwear; e.g. sneakers and jeans are strongly prohibited.

Is there a car parking facility at Al Salam Palace Museum?

Once you enter Al Salam Palace Museum, you will be directed to the designated multi-storey car parking located in the basement.

Is Al Salam Palace Museum accessible? Can I come in a wheelchair?

Al Salam Palace Museum’s ground and upper floors are accessible and are adapted for people with physical disabilities.

Once you park your car at Al Salam Palace Museum’s basement parking and enter the museum, you will find a Starbucks coffee shop located on your left hand side. The Starbucks coffee shop at Al Salam Palace Museum can only be accessed through the museum and is open daily during regular opening hours.

Is there a gift shop at the Museum?

The Al Salam Palace Museum gift shop is located on the basement floor at the entrance hall. Discover a wide selection of exclusively designed products and merchandise inspired by the magnificent Kuwaiti history; each item is meant to be an ambassador of the museum. The gift shop at Al Salam Palace Museum can only be accessed through the museum and is open daily during regular opening hours.

How long does the tour last?

Al Salam Palace Museum offers a unique group guided tour which is led by our highly experienced tour guides. Tour durations vary depending on the type that has been chose, covering the royal chambers and entire journey of the museum

Will I be able to explore Al Salam Palace Museum alone?

Al Salam Palace Museum only offers guided tours for groups of 12 persons. You are not permitted to explore the museum without a guide

What are group guided tours?

Group guided tours at Al Salam Palace Museum are conducted by a tour guide who takes visitors on a full journey of the museum from start to end
Our dedicated and highly experienced tour guides will be able to answer any questions that visitors may have at any time throughout the tour.

Can I take pictures inside Al Salam Palace Museum?

What languages will the tour be conducted in?

Our dedicated and highly experienced tour guides will be conducting the tours in English or Arabic languages based on the group’s preference.

Will I be able to ask questions during the tour?

All visitors will be able to direct their questions to their tour guide and they will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

I have difficulty walking for long periods. Will I be able to be seated in intervals during the tour?

There are benches located throughout select areas in Al Salam Palace Museum for you to rest during your visit. Please feel free to ask your tour guide to rest for a short time interval during your tour.

Are there any prohibited items that I am not allowed to bring with me to Al Salam Palace Museum?

The security and safety of Al Salam Palace Museum’s visitors, volunteers, staff, and collections are of highest importance. Al Salam Palace Museum has adopted and enforced rules and regulations that may be necessary and appropriate to provide a safe and secure environment.
Guests are prohibited from bringing the following items into Al Salam Palace Museum:

  • Sharp tools or objects, cutting devices, razor blade tools, knives or scissors (with pointed tips).
  • Animals/Pets
  • Food and/or drink (except for water and food in a sealed container)
  • Any flags on poles or sticks that cannot be stored in a backpack.
  • Any other potentially dangerous instruments, objects or devices which can cause bodily harm to visitors, Al Salam Palace Museum Staff, or others, and/or physical harm to Al Salam Palace Museum property and collections; or any items specifically prohibited to possess as per law in the State of Kuwait.

What are the security measures that I have to go through when at Al Salam Palace Museum?

When arriving at Al Salam Palace Museum, all visitors and their belongings must pass through airport-style security screening. To expedite the process, please follow our security staff and their instructions
Visitors are allowed to bring bottled water into the museum. If you do bring a water bottle, have it in your hand while passing through security and be ready to take a sip
